The Landwind disaster was made public in Germany too of course. It was like the car tried to hug the driver...
Seriously, if anyone wants to commit suicide, he just needs to buy a Landwind. This crash test was so "funny", that i included the Landwind X9 in my secret service parody "Chinese Project: A new World". I am currently working on a Prequel because the whole world died in the first book. The first book is set in 2011 and so i have to find another chinese car built before 2011 to make a joke of it. The title is "Chinese Project: Above and Beyond" making an obvious joke of Land Rover ads. ![]() -- Last edit: 2016-01-22 11:25:32 |

I collected a car prospect and also sat in the BS4. Hopefully i still have that prospect anywhere so i can get the engine data for Germany.
|
||
If someone could add the BS4, webcarstory would have the only two chinese cars that were ever officially sold in Germany. Brilliance even had a german headquarter.
|
||
Uhm... what is the difference here? webcarstory.com/voiture.php?id=17819&width=1920
Anyway, Brilliance tried to sell this car in Germany together with the BS4 we dont have on webcarstory yet. But before a car can be sold in Germany it has to get through the crash test... ![]() So yes, made for Germany. ![]() |
||
I only saw the DR 5 once in real life while it was driving in Berlin but it had an italian number plate.
![]() Not sure about other countries because the official page is only in italian. BUT dr would have no chance in Germany. After the Brilliance disaster in Germany we are afraid of chinese cars. ![]() One man who lives on the island of Sylt once decided to sell cars from Gonow. It was a disaster - again! So you see we are a little bit bugged when getting to this topic. www.autobild.de/artikel/reportage-importfahrzeuge-59877.html (you dont need to understand German - the pictures speak for themself) I know your comment is five years old and i also know that chinese cars have improved after those two disasters happened (both in 2007). But thats life. You get a bad reputation and you will have it until you "die". -- Last edit: 2016-01-21 23:27:31 |

Okay its confirmed now! This is the correct logo: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/ea/GAC_Trumpchi_logo_2.png/180px-GAC_Trumpchi_logo_2.png
Sorry that i was incorrect about the logo before. ![]() translate.google.de/#en/zh-CN/GAC%20Trumpchi -- Last edit: 2016-01-21 23:12:11 |

Can some admin please change the logo? Correct one is here:
www.gagc.com.cn/Data/001/2012303151357.jpg First two letters spell "GAC". Confirmation that this is correct can be found on this picture: www.zhiyouhang.com/u_file/images/12_12_30/54ab0f986a.jpg The picture is subtitled "celebrate ZYH reaching a cooperation agreement with Guangzhou Honda". Guangzhou Honda = GAC Honda. -- Last edit: 2016-01-21 00:44:28 |

Oh now i am not so sure about what i said about the logo anymore. They all look so similar. Will check that again tomorrow. Here is an overview of GAC Group btw:
global.gacgonow.com.cn/Templates/Browser/images/gacgroup01.jpg It looks like the first two letters spell "GAC", the rest is the submarque. -- Last edit: 2016-01-21 00:40:56 |

Okay, but you can keep the logo, it is correct. The chinese letters spell "Trumpchi".
|
||
"GAC Trumpchi" is the make. The sub marques of GAC Group are GAC Honda, GAC Fiat, GAC Mitsubishi and GAC Toyota.
Here are the submarques on Webcarstory: webcarstory.com/marque.php?id=1525 webcarstory.com/marque.php?id=1565 -- Last edit: 2016-01-20 22:53:06 |

JFK a écrit
I hope I dont get shot later this day or something. That would be a bummer. When you get back to the island of famous people that "died", can you say hello to Dale Earnhardt and Kurt Cobain? Thank you. An autograph would be awesome too, but i guess thats too much to ask for. |

First i see front shot: Awesome!

First it was an unofficial export, but Ford USA later supported it. This is only for 1964-1979 model years. We had an argument on German Wikipedia right about that topic.
The Mach 1 was not exported, only the standard cars. -- Last edit: 2015-12-30 11:31:50 |

Good news: Production model will be called "Fiat Tipo".
www.autobild.de/bilder/fiat-tipo-2015--7405767.html#bild3 |
||
I listed "Made for Germany" as yes, because it was sold in East-Germany. Is that okay?
|
||
Uhm that is incorrect. Several rumors are currently swarming the internet:
Citroen C5 number 4 will be built in China. A cooperation with Opel and a body share with the next Insignia were discussesd, but Citroen and Opel started arguing and they both split up according to german newspaper "Die Welt". Not sure if they will finally do it. And Citroen has already confirmed that the C5 successor will have no hydropneumatic anymore (no Citroen will have it anymore). -- Last edit: 2015-11-27 16:17:02 |

The arcticle talks about the M version, but the rule seems to apply for both versions.
Despite that, i think we could give the M version an extra page because of visual differences. Full name is AC Schnitzer X6 M Falcon Sport |
||
Due to the higher emission standards in Europe, AC Schnitzer decided to not sell it in Germany. Source here (only german):

Despite being a concept car, you were allowed to enter it on the IAA. That was totally awesome!
|
||
Price was 20 Million Dollar. Thats 1 Million Dollar per feet of car length which you would pay for that car.
According to this page 6 were built between 1927-1933: www.flickr.com/photos/51941876@N03/18539797956/ There was also a prototype in 1926. |
||
The Concept Car was shown in Frankfurt, but the production model was shown in Geneva 2004. Who messed that up?
|

Ford built some models for the Middle East upon special order and exported it until 2012. But the production ended in 2011, they only sold existing stock in 2012: jalopnik.com/5840637/the-last-ford-crown-victoria-ever-built
"Thanks to those employees, we know that the final Crown Victoria will be built for a Saudi Arabian customer, painted white with a tan interior and optional rear seat air conditioning." But we need an extra page for the Middle East model because it has a different grille and more chrome on the trunk (2008-2012): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Crown_Victoria#/media/File:Crown_Victoria_Special_Edition_Grille.jpg -- Last edit: 2015-10-04 22:14:40 |

I sat in the Clubman in Frankfurt. All these nice classic looking switches and the dashboard is pretty cool and nice. Regardless of the amount of doors this car is not practical. A car for beginners and fashionable people, but the ordinary (british) man will not like it.

Technical data is a secret, but it was already announced that the production model will have two engines with 95 and 120 HP.
Production model will be shown at Zurich Auto Show 2015. |
||
They built 2000 cars?
![]() |
||
Successor will be shown in Zurich 2015, currently its listed under code name Fiat Aegea.

Please dont delete the Fiat Ægea! Its a concept car and Engine data is still a secret. But Fiat says there will be at least two Engines with 95 and 120 HP.
Production model will be shown at Zurich Auto Show 2015 (starting 29 October) as i got told on IAA 2015 today. It was postponed, as the Aegea was announced to be premiered on IAA 2015. -- Last edit: 2015-09-21 23:26:59 |

Talked to a FIAT employee and she said Production stopped in 2015. Remaining cars in stock will be sold.

Okay, okay... i stop it with those pictures next time. But please, leave at least this one.
