By this rule i want to encourage people to nominate as many different concepts as possible. Imagine if all people choose the same car...
|
||
But 11 people with 2 votes would be 22 cars
![]() For example: Person A: Concept 1, 2 and 3 Person B: Concept 4 Person C: Concept 2 and 5 Person D: Concept 6 and 3 Nominated are Concept 1, 2, 4 and 6. Concept 3 and 5 get wild cards. Mieguy a écrit I nominate FAW Besturn X6. -- Last edit: 2016-08-23 13:23:32 |

You just have to comment it here and name the concepts (if this location is okay). That tool is only for the case if we dont have enough nominations and i have to add some more.
Another note: You can nominate up to 2 cars. If you nominate more than two, i choose the top two. Watch that you dont double nominate! In case that we have too much nominations, only the top 1 nominations are chosen, so choose your order wisely. First come, first serve! |

Everyone is free to nominate their favorite concept car from that list. This registration is open until 25 August 2016 23:59 (CET). After that the open spaces will be filled by randomizer. Those from Sao Paulo could be nominated.
![]() I already checked if the concepts from Shanghai 2016 are more than 10. But i didnt find enough and i also looked on other pages to check for concepts that are not on WCS. It looks like WCS is pretty good at this at the moment. If you know some, you can tell me of course. |
||
Oh and i see that Shanghai/Beijing are also biannual events.
So my annual plan could be: Geneva Detroit Frankfurt/Paris Tokyo/Shanghai Beijing (every 2nd year) From every final the best two concepts advance into the global final. In years with only 4 major shows users should have the ability to nominate concepts from the year that were not on the shows or wild cards (cars that were eliminated in the national finals). Like we do in 2016, where the Vision Gran Turismo qualify for the global final. Is that a good idea? And anyway, another cool idea would be if you could comment on auto show pages, so people can nominate cars if we have more than 20 concepts on one show. -- Last edit: 2016-08-22 01:08:09 |

I will already create the "Best Concept of Detroit 2016" question. There are no semifinals because there are not enough concepts - only Final for Detroit. Paris is still in the future, so i cannot create them yet.
Tokyo is every two years, next one is 2017. Any ideas what we do as replacement? Shanghai 2016? |
||
I agree to twice a week as well, as we have many questions now.
|
||
12 weeks = 3 months. That would work until the year is done. We could even fit "Best Concept Detroit" into that list without problems, so to have the four major exibitions all together. Therefore we are done by the end of this year. Every year we could do a Paris-Frankfurt Switcharoo and all is perfect.
However there are other questions as well... |
||
I know that link but i will forget if i dont put it in Favorites...
Maybe i could split this into two Semifinals like someone said. But i see... its better to do "best concept of [insert city and year here]". I will start with Geneva 2016 because i like the Geneva motor show. EDIT: Geneva 2016 had 15 concept cars. Have to sort out 5 cars all by my own. Anyway... how can i delete questions? -- Last edit: 2016-08-20 17:37:11 |

Added my car now. Picture was from one visit to the Nürburgring where i almost got stuck in the mud. Almost - because a V6 gets never stuck.
I actually had two of the same kind: One 1999 and one 2000 model year. The only differences on the newer car are a CD player and black leather seats. So i think its stupid to put both cars. -- Last edit: 2016-08-20 14:32:33 |

Another good thing would be if a link to the list of all questions could appear somewhere so i can find my own question again if i want to modify it.
|
||
Oh and so cars that are not on webcarstory are allowed?
|
||
When i create a question and i put the answers: Do i just write the car name? Or do i have to post a link so you know exactly what car i mean?
|
||
Do i just have to write the name of the car or actually the webcarstory link to it as answer?
|
||
i have that car in my old DTM card game.

I tried to find something, but all other Buicks that drive around in Germany have no amber turn lights or other differences.
The Buick Regal must be a favorite under US fans, as that car can be found relatively often at online car dealerships. Here are at least 10 different models: www.dasparking.de/gebrauchtwagen/buick-regal-deutschland.html#!/gebrauchtwagen/buick-regal-deutschland.html%3Fid_modele%3D1183 |
||
The european version needs an extra page because it has different tail lights to accomodate amber turn lights:

I dont want to be a nitpicker. Its cool that China runs the electric strategy. But read this article: www.carnewschina.com/2016/03/22/charging-the-ev-in-china-the-chinese-way/
There are NO battery chargers everywhere! Chinese car drivers have to figure out clever ideas how to charge their electric cars. As most chinese (and specially the drivers of electric cars) live in high-rise appartment buildings inside mega cities this is really hard. So an electric car is good for cities? Not in China! -- Last edit: 2016-05-30 01:16:52 |

![]() TCR International Series 2016 |
Soon TCR will make the car selection of BTCC look like some bunch of shopping carts. Impreza, the new Astra, 308, Guilietta... they can even make the shitty looking Golf look awesome (but only the Leopard-Golfs look cool!).
And finally an event in Germany! But Nürburgring would be better for me because its closer. Either that or a better time slot for Oschersleben. June is my vacation time where i am in Portugal. -- Last edit: 2016-05-08 01:14:21 |

AS 130 used a Ford Fiesta engine, AS 160 a Ford Escort X3 engine. There was also a concept car called Ledl Tanga (what a name...).
Günther Ledl is austrian. -- Last edit: 2016-04-03 17:32:29 |

After Toyota Platz (Platz = space), Toyota Opa (Opa = Grandpa) and Mitsubishi i-MiEV (mief = niff) those asians give us Ranz now? (ranzig - rancid)
Btw, Auto Bild asked a Mitsubishi spokesman and he said they knew about the german word mief, but they still used it. -- Last edit: 2016-04-02 19:27:22 |

As the Puch museum explains there was also a model from 1957 to 1959 with a different grille:
www.history-of-cars.com/php/steyr-puch/1959-500.php (on that page it says 1959, but puch museum says 1957) |

Car received a facelift in 1973 with new rear lights. So its only 1969-1972.
Normally i am an enemy of information from Wikipedia, but this is too obvious. Look at the rear light design. The rear lights are taken from a Triumph TR6 (officially!): commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Monteverdi-HS-375L-2.jpg |

Alfa Red was the only available color according to official Alfa Romeo Press Release.

German wikipedia says that design of the ATS is called "Stummelheck". Never heard a german say that.
![]() |
||
I see that the ATS is not a "real" Hatchback, because Hatchbacks have a rear hatch that also lifts the window up.
However we generally still call it Hatchback if the rear is very short and the window close to the end. This also depends on country. In Germany the term "Hatchback" (Fließheck) is basically gone. We either say 4- or 5-door. The 5-door is the classic Hatchback given by the common explanation. The word Fließheck is rarely used, specifically on cars that are available as Sedan and Hatchback. The Opel Insignia is one of current rare examples where we germans call it a Fließheck so to differ it from the "Stufenheck"-Insignia (= Sedan). Edit: Oh and the term Liftback is handled like "Fastback" in Germany. Its just a manufacturer name. ![]() -- Last edit: 2016-01-23 22:40:21 |

Teacher, this question is wrong! Have you ever seen a 1 meter long car? (Even the Smart is 2,50 Meter)
