I really liked the idea of the Ferrari FF, but I wasn't sold on the rear. Now they've made it beautiful :)

Not always I think. Sometimes they look cheap, boring and/or derivative. Taillights are generally my favorite part of a car, and I really love full-width taillights when they are executed well.

Something like on those older Porsches, Aston Martin One-77 or Chrysler Atlantic?

Yes those have nice taillights. Also Lincolns and some Japanese cars like the Eunos Cosmo.
