The position of rear lights is odd for me, but on the other hand I like the front end with those double headlights a lot. Anyways, perhaps Rinspeed could know why there are yellow lights on older french cars?

It sounds funny, something like entrance to a submarine. The 309 GLD was the most expensive Peugeot ever sold in here. New one cost back in 1988 about 63 885 €, and used ones were sold without problem for +70k.

They later did some upgrades to safety, but what a crazy coincidence, Ezuro NCAP upgrade the rating. According to old rating the "new" version should get 3 stars, but in new one it did not succeed.
