That actually makes it a bit better, would you like to do the same for the front picture? commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Mitsubishi_Galant_(5th_generation)#/media/File:1985_Mitsubishi_Galant_base_2.4_(E17A)_front.jpg At least I will have placeholder pictures until I stumble upon official pictures or pictures of a car in a better state. Yeah, I dont anything better to do in the evening anyways |

Well I don't know how it will look, but I would thank you for trying. Aside from not very well done rear fender arch that I pretty much made from scratch, it is not a bad shot for 45 minute job - picture -- Last edit: 2016-02-03 21:25:55 |

Facelifted in 1986, but I can't find decent pre-facelift pictures. Will you say it is a decent pic if I can get the rust retouched? I will try and I post my result. |

But a Cinquecento/Seicento's a death trap! I wouldn't feel comfy sitting in one - just look at this! www.youtube.com/watch?v=liHdDYJGFeA Thaz being said, the Tico's worse, though: www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5MbxSf1bVQ You cant really expect a safety from older city cars. Trabi doesnt look that bad, but it was most likely crashed in lower speed. |

Well, Scion is meeting its end. By this fall, the FR-S, iA and iM will be rebadged into Toyotas, while the tC and xB are discontinued. The new C-HR concept-based crossover will also become a Toyota like in the rest of the world. I suppose we should edit cars in production to 201_-2016? |

Interesting fact - this car is so heavy on front, so you can deattach one wheel from back and it will still ride absolutely fine, also thanks to the hydropneumatic suspension.

and also I think Tico has no airbag, unlike the Seicento I have the 900ccm model and it's great for city driving I would like to hear your opinion (EDIT: and of course fck´s too) on Maluch, since it is a big part of Polish car heritage. I personally like that car, much like every car from communism, but unfortunately I havent ridden one. -- Last edit: 2016-02-02 20:03:56 |

If I understand you correctly, you just like cars with a more minimalist design, less extravagant. Yes, and not only design. Car with less gadgets is far more reliable, since there are less thing that can possibly break down - that is why I like original Dacia Logan/Logan MCV. |

You mean crossovers taking over the world? Or just styling of modern cars getting worse? Both. I dont like SUV-Coupe crossover BMW X6 (seriously who need that - I cant imagine anyone to wake up in the morning and say: I want car that have little headroom in back and cant go up a hill with wet grass, yet it have high ground clearance and it weigh awfully lot), but I also dont like the modern styling of the cars. For example Peugeots used to be normal cars, not too nice but not awful either. Then came the 206 with her mouth and it was a cute car. And somebody said, if it works for 206, lets put it on every Peugeot and make it bigger. 107 (the mouth is that big that the car is capable of eating itself and poor engine need a blanket for night), 207, 307, 407 - all those had horrible design, and back then I used to say that it is not getting any worse than that. Peugeot 508 came and I was proven wrong. It is a hideous car with awful front and terrible rear. Nissan Murano wasnt good looking car at the start, but after facelift they managed to get it just enough disgusting that it is a definition of badly designed car. Bugatti Veyron looks like a obese man in his 50s, when he finally got enough money to buy cabriolet, and he thinks that he looks cool. 2nd gen Fiat Panda is not a nice looking car, but it is okay. And that is the reason why 3rd gen got servo motor from Cadillac´s windscreen wipers as a engine and a obese look. Like it is trying to fit in same bodyshell as 2nd panda, but it ate too many cookies on Christmas holidays. Opel/Vauxhall Corsa - the one from 90s got pretty cute design, but they make it worse over the next generations. And I could go on and on and on. I left Škoda cars on purpose, since they are very common here, so it would be not very objective. |

If car design (in general) gets worse and worse with each year, I am quite curious what cars would look like in 10 years. And what I will eventually use as a car when all cars will look like this, Peugeot 508, Nissan Juke, Nissan Murano, Citroën DS5 or worse.

@Desscythe: No, I don't think it was sold here. This car falls into that strange category of cars which were sold in Europe, but were way more common in Eastern Europe. Like the Maruti 800, the Daewoo Nexia/Racer...and the Tico. I dont know, if you are living close to D/CZ borders, but I could eventually buy it and drive it to your town. There are not very common, but it isnt something ultra rare either, so in used cars dealership there are few. -- Last edit: 2016-02-01 17:05:37 |

I've made up my mind! My first car will be a Tico! It's nice-looking, cheap, fairly reliable and no big loss in case it gets stolen. Do you know the color you would like to have? |

In Poland unmarked traffic police vehicles sometimes also don't use beacons on top In czech laws the beacon must be placed on top of the vehicle and it must be visible from all sides + some other laws that new Skoda police cars violate. fck wrote And also red/blue beacons are used by the first and last emergency vehicle in the column. Do you want to know the explanation why in CZ are not Blue/red beacon. Because someone could think that it is a breaking light... Great explanation. And the president of CZ police is lying about the fact that it is a first time in europe that our police cars doesnt have beacons on top. |

Unmarked police cars in the Netherlands also have no beacon on top. Only a light behind the windshield I think. I guess it is not against the law in your country, but here it is, just like red/blue beacons on emengercy vehicles. -- Last edit: 2016-01-31 19:50:32 |

If I am not mistaken, this was the personal car of Enzo Ferrari
I got it from some Lexus forum, where everybody was ranting about Volvo 240 that Ikea founder drives, and they were saying that if he would be concerned about his safety, he wouldnt drive 1993 Volvo wagon. I cant imagine any safer car than square Volvo -- Last edit: 2016-01-29 22:08:49 |

Apart from high-ranked party members, KGB used them, before they got the new Ladas with powerful wankel engines to get more undercover look.
The only time when you could ride in this car via normal means was getting married - you could order this car. |

Used by Gustáv Husák, president of Czechoslovakia.
EDIT: I just got an idea. If famous person has/had it (and WCS member?), there would be an option to add an owner, and you could simply click the person name (just like car shows), on that page it would be short description who is it (actor, singer, politician, owner of well known company, mobster, killer, dunno who else..) and a list of cars. And maybe that could be even splitted for actors - personal cars and cars that were used when they were acting (I am sure that Bryan Cranston doesnt use Pontiac Aztek, but as a Walter White he does). If the owner would be a member and you would click his name, it would redirect to his profile (under the text about him/her would be the list also) -- Last edit: 2016-01-29 21:53:29 |

Desscythe17, if you are really up for occasionally edit Made for Czech Republic as a
, you can do it without any problem on any pre 1989 US or non-US spec. Only japan cars I know that were sold before 1989 was that 1970s Honda Civic I already edited and 1968 Toyota Corona, which is not listed (guess due to big amount of engine/transmission combination). |
