Desscythe17 2020-04-01 17:23 | A bit of a strange case this car, it was both manufactured as well as sold by Nissan. Foreign manufacturers in Japan at the time had to sell their cars through a Japanese dealership chain. Volkswagen decided to partner with Nissan and build a slightly narrower version of the Santana so it would fall into a lower tax bracket, making it more affordable for Japanese consumers. -- Last edit: 2020-04-01 17:25:20

Desscythe17 2019-12-15 12:19 | We use "related cars" only for cars which are either the same car but sold by a different brand, or a different car based on the same platform/body. Nissan 370Z is NOT to be added to related cars, since Fairlady Z and 370Z are the same car by the same brand.

Desscythe17 2019-03-18 22:55 | carcrasher88 a écrit Wow, these look great! I assume this and the eK are the first true collaborative products since Mitsubishi became part of the alliance with Renault and Nissan, right? Love how they gave each brand their own visual identity, which is rather rare in the kei car market, where most rebrandings are simple rebadges, while here the Dayz looks like a Nissan, and the eK looks like a Mitsubishi without one being confused for the other. Technically I guess they are, but the Otti/Dayz has always been a rebadged Mitsubishi eK, ever since its first generation. I doubt this one is any more Nissan than the previous ones. The Nissan depicted here is the Highway Star version, which looks a bit more glamorous. The regular Dayz looks exactly like the eK Wagon. The eK, on the other hand, has a more "cool" looking version, the eK X: i.wheelsage.org/pictures/m/mitsubishi/ek_x/mitsubishi_ek_x.jpeg As you can see, this is inspired by the recent Delica D:5 facelift, giving it Mitsubishi identity. -- Last edit: 2019-03-18 22:58:24

Desscythe17 2018-05-11 18:20 | Well, the Japanese market Juke got some small improvements today (mostly safety/tech package). Even though it was speculated to be succeeded to finish its 8 year run and get a second generation this year. Apparently Nissan has decided to keep it going for a little longer until the replacement is finished.
Desscythe17 2018-01-10 18:15 | carcrasher88 a écrit Pretty obvious that the successor will be a localized version of the Kicks. I'm not so sure about that. I have found very few rumors on Japanese websites about the Kicks coming to Japan, and the rumors about the Juke's successor are that it may be based on the Gripz concept from 2015. It is also expected to feature an e-Power mild hybrid engine, like the Note. I think it's possible that the Kicks might be the Juke successor in America, but not in Europe and Japan. The Juke sells a lot better in the last two areas, and there might also be more demand for a stylish, customizable and turbocharged compact crossover in these areas. The Kicks is much more a budget crossover than the Juke after all. carview.yahoo.co.jp/news/newmodel/20170917-10272823-carview/?mode=full ^ Speculation article about the Juke's successor. -- Last edit: 2018-01-10 18:18:30
