1964 Rambler Tarpon
Concept that would become the AMC Marlin. 2011-08-31 11:57
1965 AMC Cavalier
This was a design practice in symmetry and interchangeable body parts. The doors were interchangeable on opposite sides, as it had rear suicide doors. The hood, trunk, and other features were also shaped the same. This would have cut down on tooling costs and made replacing parts easier. This would have also seated 6, and still been compact sized. However, this model was never made, even though it was on a postage stamp in Sharjah > upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/50/Sharjah-Stamp-1970-1-rl_Rambler.jpg Much of the styling went on to the Hornet, but the interchangeable parts did not. Also, Cavalier was going to be the name of AMC's pony car, but GM had already trademarked it, even though they did not use it until 1982. AMC instead used Javelin.

Rinspeed, do you prefer that all the images for one car be the EXACT same car, or same model with different colors trim, etc? 2011-08-30 21:14

1948 Tucker '48 (Torpedo)
A few more facts about this great car. The center headlight turns with the car. Some states however had restrictions stating that road cars could have no more than 2 headlights, so a cover was also sold for it. It is also rear engined. The front windscreen pops out. 2011-07-07 01:29

Mark0 wrote Yes i posted Pacer pre-restiled. Now i waiting to be accepted. Still need restiled Pacer, Pacer Station Wagon and Pacer X. Does pre-restiled Pacer has V8 because in my book says it has only 6 cyl?

The reason for the restyle was so that the V8 would fit in the engine compartment, so yes the restyled Pacer had an optional V8, but the first Pacer did not.

AMC I just added the base Hornet first gen, I will add the second gen, hatchback, sportabout and other engines later. (I wish America would just go to the metric system already) 2011-02-11 05:49

Rinspeed, should cars that only rebadged (Honda Passport and Isuzu Rodeo for example) get their own page or should it all be on one page? I wasn't sure with the Nissan Leopard J Ferie/ Infiniti J30 so thats why I combined them. 2011-02-10 00:47
