Looking at the way other manufacturers are adding all of these similarly sized CUVs in the US market, I could see Toyota slipping this in-between the RAV4 and Highlander, perhaps as a premium higher-spec only model with only the hybrid and turbocharged 8AR-FTS powertrains available.

It would kinda be to the RAV4 as the Avalon is to the Camry.

Could be interesting, but I think this would be competing too much with the Lexus RX. I don't think the Toyota Avalon has a very bright future either.
