Interestingly enough, the Vista Cruiser until 1973 and the Buick Sport Wagon until 1970 had a much longer wheelbase than the sedans they were based on. They have three rows of seats and distinctive skylights in the raised roof.
The Sport Wagon from 1970 onwards returned to the shorter wheelbase and lost the skylights, as did the Vista Cruiser when the new generation of GM A-Body cars launched for 1973.

For 1977, the Cutlass S got the same straight front as the rest of the Cutlass family, but the 442 kept the slanted "sporty" nose of 1976.

The more upscale Cutlass Calais was renamed Cutlass Salon for 1985, as the Calais nameplate would be used for the smaller N-Body Oldsmobile.

A bit of a problem for the whole Cutlass Ciera/Cruiser line, for MY87, only top trim levels got composite headlights. I made a seperate page for the 1988 models, because in that year all models got composite headlights, while I left the 1987 models with the older quad headlights.

Currently I can't find pictures for the 89 coupe (which has completely red taillights as the only difference), so I will merge the page together with the 87/88 model for now.

I assume the rear of this car for 91 is the same as the 91-96 Cutlass Ciera sedan, but I can't find any pictures to back it up.

Merely a trim level of the Eighty Eight for MY 1994, in 1995 the LSS became a model of its own and gained the supercharged engine.

Well the Aurora looks fantastic, and the Intrigue pretty good, but I personally find the Alero really boring.

Indeed, and of course, two other late 90's Oldsmobiles had design themes inspired by this and the production Aurora, the Alero and Intrigue share design ques that can be found on this concept.

Was originally intended to be the successor to the Eighty-Eight, but ended up re-engineered into the second generation Aurora.

The second generation Aurora was supposed to continue based on what was supposed to be the next Buick Riviera.

But, when Buick cancelled it, the Aurora was forced to remain on the G-Body, and the design of the Antares was, in turn, the basis for the second (and final) iteration of the Aurora.

I remember this one as a rental car. It only had the 2.2, but was a nice car. The thing was great on the freeway, let me tell you. For about $4,000-$10,000, the Alero is a very reliable budget car, and it gets good gas mileage.

One of my neighbors has one of these in silver. It's a very nice car. This car's engine was used in Indy cars, then the Cadillac LMP program.
