![]() ![]() 2025-01-25 20:43 | Fun fact, when the legislation for kei cars changed and the maximum displacement increased to 550cc, Suzuki did not have a new engine ready in time. In order to not fall behind other kei car manufacturers, they bought engines from their competitor Daihatsu and installed those in the Fronte for a few months until their new engine was ready. -- Last edit: 2025-01-25 20:44:26

![]() ![]() 2020-09-05 14:13 | Just a thing, the work for IGCD is very long and i want to work for the new cars for WCS but i don't have enough time. I have to finish IGCD. After IGCD i think i will do a pause before doing the new WCS. But at this time there is a cumulation of new cars in Europe to do that i can't. If someone want to do some, he can: - Skoda Octavia Combi - Cupra/Seat Ateca (refreshed) - Fiat Panda + 4x4 + Cross -> Update of the engines (Hybrid, no more diesel...) - Suzuki Vitara -> Update of the engines (Hybrid) - Honda Jazz - Ferrari SF90 Stradale - Citron Ami - Porsche Panamera (refreshed) - Ferrari Roma - Morgan Plus 4 - Mercedes-Benz S-Klasse - Peugeot 3008/5008 (refreshed) - Rolls-Royce Ghost Some of them are just revealed (so not already in sale)

![]() ![]() 2017-11-01 12:03 | carcrasher88 wrote That is true, but when you look at how many similarly classified vehicles Japanese manufacturers have in their lineups, including models shared between manufacturers (which is all of them except Honda), it's not really that hard to see them co-exist. Also, if Jeep can sell the Renegade, Compass, and Cherokee, all with overall dimensions that aren't actually that far apart from each other, Suzuki can have both this and the Ignis. I guess you are right, the Japanese market is quite unique in that sense. As for the Jeeps, there is some differences that work for them. The Renegade is a subcompact and operates in a different segment, whereas the Compass is more of a city car and the Cherokee more off-road capable with an optional V6.

While nearly all of the XBee is inspired by the smaller Hustler, the split 'floating roof' look of the rear is more like that of the latest Swift. I really like it, but I do feel like it is a direct competitor to Suzuki's own Ignis.

![]() 2017-08-27 21:06 | Retro design pretty much sums it up. Here's what it will apparently look like: www.motor1.com/news/177749/2018-suzuki-jimny-leaked/ Apparently multiple forms of two-tone paint will be offered, like the grille, windshield surround, roof, fender flares, and protruding pieces on the front bumper, all able to be ordered in various combinations.

This new Wagon R is supposed to be retro and mimic the design of the first generation, but I don't think it pulls it off very well. The current Alto that also has a retro design does it a lot better.

![]() ![]() 2016-04-19 08:21 | carcrasher88 wrote Hmm...this generation stuck around 6 years, on par with the first two generations of MR Wagon. I assume this means it's on the verge of a redesign, with it's badge engineered Nissan twin sticking around a little longer to keep space filled in the Nissan lineup? It's not common in Japan to discontinue a car before replacing it, so I think the MR Wagon is just being dropped. Both the Alto and Spacia are doing very well, so there is probably no reason for the MR to be around anymore.

![]() 2015-06-15 02:53 | Suzuki's website also lists not only the Solio and Bandit, but two more variations of the Solio, both of which are probably special editions: G-Limited and Black & White II. www.suzuki.co.jp/car/solio_g_limited/ www.suzuki.co.jp/car/solio_bw2/ I assume these could be added to the Limited Edition/Special Editon section?
![]() 2015-06-15 02:46 | I have a question: Would the differences visible in the Hustler J Style (www.suzuki.co.jp/car/hustler_j_style/) be enough for it's own listing, or would it be more sensible to list it as a special edition version? I assume that since the only major difference being the H U S T L E R badging on the front, I assume it would be the latter.
