This car, along with the Santamo, was originally built by Hyundai Precision & Industries at their Ulsan Yeompo-dong Factory. Because this company was distinct from Hyundai Motor, these car bore a logo of their own. In 1999 Hyundai Motor absorbed the car division of Hyundai Precision & Industries, and the Yeompo-dong factory was integrated into Hyundai Motor's neighbouring Ulsan Plant. Today it is the Plant 5 of the gigantic Ulsan motor complex, the largest of the world.
