It was indeed made in the US and especially made for the US, but it´s basically a MkI Focus Turnier (Wagon, 1998-2004). Just with a few modifications.

The Ford Focus is a global car made by Ford Motor Company, not by a specific department. So the European models are German origin, and the American models are US origin. The American Focus isn't based off the European Focus. It's the same car sold from a later date.

But the Focus was developed by Ford of Europe (Köln-Niehl, Germany) and here are some proofs, that it should be listed as german origin:

I'm pretty sure the Focus was developed by Ford Mo. Co. and not by Ford Europe. And as imcdb.org is edited by all sorts of people, it isn't valid proof, just like for example igcd or wikipedia

And I´m pretty sure that it was developed by Ford Europe. Have you got any proofs, that it was developed by Ford Motor Corp.?

The only proof I can give you is that everywhere you look, it says it's manufactured by Ford. Not Ford Europe specifically. Besides, you're the one who wants to change the origin of the car, not me, so you have to show proof, I don't.

Why is it still listed as model origin: USA?

@Ford78: I know that the US Focus has some other details like the orange sidemarkers, but these are just necessary modifications for the US market.

I think the SVT versions should be USA origin though, as all tuned cars on the site have the origin of the tuner instead of the car itself, for example, Arden tunes Jaguars, but they all have German origin.
