2018-11-25 13:17 | The Prototype from Daihatsu is from Dakar Rally 1986 which uses the engine from Toyota 1.6 which is also used on Toyota Corolla and Tercel. It was planned that the Daihatsu Prototypes would compete in 1986 Dakar Rally. But sadly in December 1985, the Daihatsu Twin Engines were rejected by the Technical Commitee Organiser from T.S.O. and they were not able to compete. The Daihatsu Rocky Rally Raid Cars, which those were initially registered as Fast Service Cars, ended on replacing the Daihatsu Twin Turbo Prototypes instead.
