![]() 2018-11-28 23:24 | US spec models will have four powertrain models, the carryover 2.0 and 2.5 SkyActiv-G engines, a 1.8 liter SkyActiv-D (the first diesel Mazda for the US market, after numerous delays with planned SkyActiv-D 6 and CX-5 models, which still have yet to hit the market here), and the new 2.0 SkyActiv-X spark controlled compression ignition engine. Also a first for the US specification 3, the availability of an evolution of Mazda's i-Activ AWD system. It's not a complete game changer on the worldwide market, but for the US market, it certainly is. Also, the 6-speed SkyActiv-MT manual transmission will remain an option, along with the 6-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic. |
