Judging from the front end, this car may have been the very first look at what would become Acura's new design language that wouldn't be seen previewed as an Acura until the 2006 Advanced Sedan Concept, and wouldn't appear on a production Acura until the 2009 model year.

Looks like Honda's going for a 70's Life Step Van look for the next N-WGN.

Circular headlights with amber markers above them (Custom models have different lights), boxy shape, and there's a crease on the front fenders that looks a bit like what the Life Step Van had.

Fifth member of Honda's H-Family of kei cars, I take it? Nice to see them continuing to be dedicated to expanding the lineup. Is it supposed to be a Vamos and/or Vamos Hobio replacement, or something to compliment the Acty lineup, similar to how the Daihatsu Hijet Caddie (commercial variant of the Wake) compliments the Hijet lineup?

It is in fact scheduled to be the successor to the Vamos and take the N-Series to the commercial market. It also doesn't have a B-pillar in order to make loading from the side easier.

The Honda N-Box (even before it entered the second generation) suddenly became extremely popular in Japan and dethroned the Daihatsu Move and Suzuki Wagon R, which have dominated sales in this specific class for over 20 years. Honda is hoping this success rubs off on the similar N-Van.

In the Netherlands at least, the sedan was never sold. Only the hatchback. It also had the license plate mounted between the taillights instead of on the rear bumper.

This page is for the Japanese market Honda, so the European market one would need its own page in Honda (Europe).

2018-2020 Honda Jade [FR]

NL Desscythe17

It's interesting to see how the segment of the Honda Jade is coming to an end. The Honda Jade falls into the 7-seater "wagon" segment, meaning it has three rows of chairs, but also a low roof.
This page is for the updated model that will start selling in May, and Honda has decided to discontinue the regular 7-seater version due to low sales, and only sell the RS, which has two rows of chairs.
We can see the same happened with its predecessor, the Honda Stream, which lost its three-row specification in 2012, whereas the two-row Stream RSZ was only discontinued in 2014.

If we take a look at its competitors, it's clear that this kind of car is coming to an end. The Mazda Premacy and its sister car Nissan Lafesta are both discontinued, although the Nissan is still present on their website.
The Subaru Exiga is planned to stop selling by the end of this month, and the Toyota Prius alpha is probably not getting a successor when the current generation ends.

Unlike the big Japanese minivans, like the Honda Odyssey, Nissan Elgrand and Toyota Alphard, this segment is clearly losing sales to crossovers, which are more trendy than the more conservative wagons.

I just saw this parked at my local golf clubhouse the other day, it was a JDM-spec Botswana-registered car. One weird thing as well is that I once saw a Nissan Elgrand really up-close! I was looking around the car and I was NOT in Japan! It was also at the same clubhouse parked, but fitted with a Zimbabwe plate. I thought the Nissan Elgrand would be a big minivan, but it was just medium-sized.
