![]() ![]() 2024-04-05 18:17 | The L-Series started with the basic STD or DL trim (which had round headlamps) and the GL trim (with square headlights). For 1982, the DL received the GL's square headlights, and the GL received quad square headlights instead. -- Last edit: 2024-04-05 22:09:18

![]() 2020-10-14 11:25 | 2006 saw Subaru's return to SCCA Rally after a two-year of absence. The car used in the year of return is the Subaru Impreza WRX STi, which was the model released a year before and it was also prepared by Vermont SportsCar. This car is known as VT7r internally and it has competed on Open Class, having won 4 consecutive SCCA Rally championships. It has competed until 2008, when all-new Hatchback Subaru Impreza STi has debuted in Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally 2008. ![]() 2020-10-14 00:04 | The 2003 model was inspired by a S9 WRC2003 model, but this is not a WRC car. It has debuted in 2nd round of SCCA, but unfortunately, in that year, Mark Lovell and Roger Freeman died in a tragic accident after the SS1 of Oregon Trail Rally 2003. The Finn duo Pasi Hagstrm/Marko Taskinen joined the team, but unfortunately, Subaru USA Rally Team has withdrawn at the end of 2003 season, citing lack of manufacturer competition. Subaru USA have been absent from SCCA Rally during 3 years until its return in 2006. ![]() 2020-10-13 23:58 | This model has debuted in the 2nd round of 2002 SCCA Pro Rally. All aero modifications used in 2001 season were discarded and in 2002 season, they were reverted to the original WRX aero. It competed in 2002 season, winning the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb and the Maine Forest Pro Rally. It was raced until the first round of 2003 SCCA Rally. ![]() 2020-10-13 23:52 | This is the 2nd evolution of Subaru Impreza WRX STi, however, it is based on S8 which was used in 2002 season. However, the WRC aero package was replaced by the package of UK300 Subaru Impreza special car, which is a limited edition created in 2001. It was used until Sno*Drift Pro Rally 2002, the first round of 2002 season.
![]() 2020-10-13 23:45 | This rally car, although that it debuted on Cherokee Pro Rally 2001, this model is labelled as "Impreza WRX STi 2000", as the model used is from October 2000. This is not a WRC Car. It is a Open Rally Car. Source- www.wrcwings.tech/2020/04/20/aero-review-of-the-subaru-motorsport-usa-rally-experience-the-early-years/

According to JP wikipedia, the WRX was called S-GT instead for this generation, and it was only sold as a hatchback. -- Last edit: 2020-04-18 15:55:02
![]() ![]() 2020-04-18 10:36 | Maki wrote This entry should be moved to the Subaru USA page, as it seems to be the US-spec WRX rather than the JDM one. Edit: Any idea if the WRX of this generation was sold in Japan? I can't find any evidence suggesting that it was. I think the Subaru page is a mess because it hasnt changed much since we started splitting Japanese brands between Japan, Europe and North America. Give me a couple of hours to fix it and then the cars should be in the right places.

Yes, it should be moved, but I think the race car specialists of webcarstory should do this, as I don't really know or care about them.

![]() 2014-08-17 15:40 | Pictures added for the colors, but I realize I made a typo on one of them. It's Dark Gray Metallic, not Dark Grey Metallic. Would it be possible to fix that without having to make an identical color?
![]() 2014-08-12 03:14 | Placed Crystal Black Silica as a metallic, even though I'm not sure what the paint finish classifies as. Otherwise, all colors are listed, just awaiting images. -- Last edit: 2014-08-12 03:14:44
