Makes sense, since the 5-door is sold in the US, and not the 3-door. Since the Focus ST hatch is coming to the US, maybe this will go into production and be sold here? This will definitely make the Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris...jealous...

Followup to my previous comment, it's been confirmed that the Ford Fiesta ST will be sold in the US in 5-door form, also confirmed: the 1.0 EcoBoost I-3 will also be available in the new 2014 model year US market Fiesta.
