The 2nd Generation was produced in 1992, however, the 1st generation continued on being produced alongside with 2nd generation until 1995.

There was also the Escort Hobby, which was the basic trim level. After 1992, when there was a new Escort in Brazil, this old generation was just named Ford Hobby.
