Word now has it that a US market version of the Trax will be shown at the New York International Auto Show this week, with an official announcement likely coming at a special press conference today.

It's official, the Trax will be coming to the US market as a 2015 model at an unspecified date with no apparent changes other than the addition of chrome strips to the grille.

Question is, will the US market Trax be built in South Korea, along side the Encore, or in Mexico?

The Canadian Trax is built in Mexico, so I don't think the American Trax will be built in Korea.

Saw a bunch of these on a dealer lot yesterday, I can confirm that the US-spec Trax IS Korean built, unlike the Canadian-spec model.
