JFK 2016-05-25 23:01 | Desscythe17 escreveu Thank you forthe translation and other interesting info Interestingly enough, Rapid seems to have its bumper in normal shape at later part of its commercial. Shame there isnt any info about it. Favorit had a ton of special editions after VW bought Skoda. I think they can easily fit in Limited Edition on Favorit page, because nothing changed under hood I once tried to add these special editions, but the amount of them is big and amount of decent photos is small. -- Last edit: 2016-05-25 23:04:23 |
Desscythe17 2016-05-25 22:36 | JFK escreveu VW Group lost its barriers for not breaking a tradition long time ago. I feel this is the right time to show you this funny 1980s promo for Skoda from Netherlands. Rapid seems like some sort of special NL-market version, maybe you would like to add it That's actually an interesting commercial. The title and the song are "Wie slim is, rijdt Skoda" which means "Those who are smart, drive a Skoda". You can actually see the current slogan, "Volg de Skoda rijder/Follow the Skoda driver" has its roots in this old slogan. I'll translate the text on the cars as well: #1: De sportieve : The sporty #2: De zuinige : The fuel-efficient #3: De betrouwbare : The reliable #4: De rappe : Can mean both quick as well as cool -> By the way, car #4 looks like its front bumper is already falling off in the commercial. #5: De ruime : The roomy I don't know if the Rapid is a special edition, but I can look it up. EDIT: Can't find anything about a special edition for the Netherlands, I did however find the "Favorit Solitair and Favorit Silverline", which both had different taillights from the regular Favorit in their pictures. www.skodamuseumnederland.nl/pages/sub/3/36228/pagina_2.html -- Last edit: 2016-05-25 22:48:57 |

JFK 2016-05-25 21:47 | Well well well well well, what do we have here? If this will go to production it will be a first 21st century Škoda, that I really, really like! The color really suits it aswell. |
