For over 2 years, Mazda planned for this car to get a diesel engine, but just recently they gave up on their plans. The CX-5 was offered with a diesel engine for a year, but discontinued.
It was a bit of a weird choice by Mazda to introduce diesel engines in this day and age for the US market, so I don't think it's a shocker to anyone that this didn't work out in the end.

It seems like that's just for Canada. I've adjusted your edit so 3 Sport is the second name.

US spec models will have four powertrain models, the carryover 2.0 and 2.5 SkyActiv-G engines, a 1.8 liter SkyActiv-D (the first diesel Mazda for the US market, after numerous delays with planned SkyActiv-D 6 and CX-5 models, which still have yet to hit the market here), and the new 2.0 SkyActiv-X spark controlled compression ignition engine.

Also a first for the US specification 3, the availability of an evolution of Mazda's i-Activ AWD system.

It's not a complete game changer on the worldwide market, but for the US market, it certainly is. Also, the 6-speed SkyActiv-MT manual transmission will remain an option, along with the 6-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic.

New model will launch this summer, but the old model has already finished sales and has disappeared from the Mazda USA site.

Could be. Slogans are not permanent though. Who is going to check whether they've changed? I never really pay attention to slogans.

Maybe logo and in top left corner a small flag to differ it? Much like former colonies of United Kingdom have flag of UK in top-left corner.

Oh, my bad. Show debiut has to be in spring (and it was), but sales will start this autumn. As it's more than half a year, I'll change it into concept.

If the gasoline engine is also a Mazda SkyActiv engine, it's fine. However, I'm not really an authority on race cars, so I suggest you do what you want. If you think another page is better, make another page.

Funny story really, not only is it a very humble car for a professional basketballer, it's also a very rare car nowadays, which makes it even more special.
