2011-05-22 01:10 | Actually, I'm pretty sure it's not related to the Hilux. The Amarok was built to take on the likes of the Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara and Mitsubishi Triton, and was completely designed and engineered in-house.
fck 2011-05-21 22:35 | Mudflap a écrit Like before with the Taro, this is based on the Hilux, which is a quite a good thing. It's starting to make a debut in the UK, I've seen a few billboards (including one in my village), but not an actual Amarok. It should be pretty interesting to see how this turns out.. BTW. about the Hilux, polish Top Gear magazine did a little test where Hilux had similiar ability like.. soviet Kurgan ATS on military training ground o.O samochodydzisiejsze.blog.onet.pl/Twardy-jak-czolg,2,ID322881398,n

2011-05-21 20:37 | Correct me if I'm wrong, but is the grille the only cosmetic difference between this and the one we have here in the US?

Desscythe17 2011-05-20 20:44 | That reminds me, someone should make a page for the awesome Isuzu Piazza (Turbo)
carcrasher88
2011-05-20 20:30 | Yeah, the original was said to be a copy of the Isuzu D-Max (Holden Colorado in Australia, Chevrolet Colorado in Thailand).
Desscythe17 2011-05-20 20:12 | pretty funny though, since the Great Wall Wingle has existed since 2006, but the new version is a copy of the Amarok, yes.
carcrasher88
2011-05-20 19:35 | Quite accurate copy with an awful name.

fck 2011-05-20 18:03 | Am I wrong or on the first picture it's 2-door saloon and a coupe on the 2nd?
carcrasher88
2011-05-20 17:46 | The Amarok is currently being produced in the Volkswagen Group plant in General Pacheco, Argentina for South American, Mexico, Russian, South African, Australian and European markets. Quite a shame it's not for the US market. They could have put the 3.6L V6 from the 2011 Routan in it.

2011-05-20 17:41 | The Fabia is only Hatchback and Estate for the second (current) generation. The first generation sedan must not have sold well.
Desscythe17 2011-05-20 17:01 | in Holland they're still called Combi, and I think the Fabia Scout isn't for sale in Holland. I do know that there are a Roomster Scout, and I was also wondering if the Fabia Sedan is still sold somewhere? -- Last edit: 2011-05-20 17:04:05

2011-05-20 15:33 | Apparently the Combi models are now known as Estate (at least, in the UK) and there is an Octavia Scout. www.skoda.co.uk/gbr/Pages/homepage.aspx
carcrasher88
2011-05-20 15:27 | Actually, it's Canada, Mexico and US only.
Desscythe17 2011-05-20 15:13 | I think it's exclusive for the american market.

2011-05-20 14:34 | not produced in europe?
Desscythe17 2011-05-20 07:20 | pretty strange car, I never see a Fabia Combi or an Octavia Scout, so why a Fabia Scout?
fck 2011-05-19 22:32 | Few my police friends have prefacelifted cee'ds SW with 2.0 CRDI engine on their police stations and they praise them a lot. Nice finishing quality (it's not the same Kia than 10- years ago!), economic engines and 7-year guarantee. Yes, if I had to buy a new car, I wiould be really interested in cee'd. -- Last edit: 2011-05-20 02:01:25

Sandie 2011-05-18 23:22 | Note: The two motors I added are the ones available from the company that builds the complete cars. As it's available (mainly) as a kit car Ive also listed motor to choose as the third motor as it is impossible to state all the possible options. I've seen a diesel one and I think someone has made an electric powered one. The two factories are the place where the fully built cars are made (by a company named Road Track Race) and the location of the main MEV company. |
